kath Born and raised in Quebec, Kathleen lived in San Francisco from 1993-1996, where she first introduced to ceramics at the Sharon Art Studio. Kathleen apprenticed in Santorini, Greece where she learned traditional hand-building and wheel techniques. More recently Kathleen has apprenticed with Fist Nation Ceramicist Laura Wee Lay Laq focusing on hand built smoke fired vessels. Since 1999 has lived and worked in Strathcona, East Vancouver. She is the owner of Kamu Studio and for the past 10 years she has been facilitating works shops throughout the lower mainland. Her murals and clay installations can been seen in many different schools and community centers in Vancouver. As well, Kathleen has conducted private and group lessons at her studio, has home schooled youth through different organizations and has worked with artist Richard Tetrault on the large public mosaic mural Community Walls/ Community Voices.
